The classics read by Gwyneth Paltrow

Growing up Eric Carle’s book “The very hungry caterpillar” was my very favorite one. I think Mila was not even born and I already bought her one too. Since then she started a little Eric Carle collection. Her favorite one is definitely “Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? (We even have it in English and German) – which Eric Carle and Bill Martin collaborated on.

Recently we got an audio CD featuring not only the “Brown Bear” book but also the other three bear books “Polar Bear, Polar Bear, What Do You Hear?”, “Panda Bear, Panda Bear, What Do you See?” and “Baby Bear, Baby Bear, What Do You See?” (which we do not have yet). All these books have been a hit with children for many generations and are being read by Gwyneth Paltrow on this audio CD. Her bedtime-story voice is soothing and slow (with enough space for kids to repeat the words) and full of warmth and humor.

Mila has listened to it now on so many car rides, its adorable to listen to her repeating the words. It’s a great entertainment on car rides, rainy afternoons and bedtime. She usually sits there with the books and flips through them along to the narration.

The audio CD includes bonus tracks with readings by Bill Martin Jr as well as Eric Carle. The CD also features all Spanish versions read by Adriana Sananes. Available at your local bookstore or online at Amazon.
